StellarPlex Outlets

Level 1

This is a standard telephone and TV outlet; there is no capacity for expansion in the future.

Level 2A

The Level 2A outlet combines the Level 1 outlet with an additional video input cable. In most cases, the video input cable is used for future expansion with the StellarPlex system by installing either an in-wall modulator or external modulator. The addition of a modulator will allow a piece of video equipment (VCR, DVD, etc.) at that location to be viewed from any TV connected to the StellarPlex system.

Level 2B

The Level 2B outlet has the same features of the Level 2A with the exception of the telephone jack being replaced with a computer jack.

Level 3

The Level 3 outlet combines the standard telephone jack in the Level 1 outlet with one RJ-45 modular data jack. The data cable is connected to a patch panel in the main StellarPlex system and can be connected (or disconnected) to a computer network hub by simply inserting a modular patch cable from the patch panel to the network hub.

Level 4

The Level 4 outlet is essentially a Level 2 and a Level 3 outlet combined. The input video cable is still used the same way that it is used in the Level 2 outlet.

Level 5

The Level 5 outlet will take advantage of all the StellarPlex functions through the 3000 series. The input video cable from the level 4 outlet is combined with an in-wall modulator and RCA jacks for video and audio input from your video equipment. This signal is combined with the cable or antenna and broadcast to all the TVs connected to the system.
